Digital Culture and Communication hosts 19 panels at ECREA in Lisbon
We are happy to announce that there are 19 panels organized by our section at this year’s conference of ECREA in Lisbon. In total we received 167 abstracts, which is impressive. As the biggest section in ECREA (now at about 480 members) we are delighted that so many researchers – junior and senior – see Digital Culture and Communication as the right place and environment to present and discuss their research. There is a short overview of all our panels at the bottom of this post.
We also cordially invite all members to join our business meeting on November 13 (Thursday), 1.30 to 2.30 p.m. in Room 5A. Apart from a brief report on our activities, we will hold elections of the management team for the next term. Elisenda Ardevol is stepping down as chair and we want to thank her for her engagement and enthusiasm for the activities of the section. Her passion for the subjects discussed in our section has attracted a wide range of scholars. In both of our past workshops in Barcelona (2011) and Bonn (2013) the scope of contributions showed that digital culture and communication thrives as a field. We thank Elisenda for the hard work and her open, friendly attitude toward the people and projects she was involved with.
